WHAT THE NETWORK DOES
A research network bringing together academics, practitioners, students, artists and community organisers to advance epistemic justice in and through education.
The network combines academic work with public engagement and creative practice. It runs termly seminars and panel discussions, reading groups, documentary screenings, theatre and zine-making workshops, exhibitions, publications and advocacy.
WHAT DOES EE&EJ STAND FOR
EE&EJ starts from a simple question: whose knowledge counts in education? Too often, research moves slowly and local perspectives reach policy too late to shape it. The network aims to bridge that gap, bringing the perspectives of communities, practitioners and researchers, especially those living through crisis, displacement and environmental change, into direct conversation with policymakers. By pairing policy research with participatory and creative methods, it helps make sure the evidence shaping education reflects the people it is meant to serve.
FOUR THEMATIC AREAS
Gender, women and intersectional identities in education
Education, crisis and forced displacement
Educational equity in and through technology
Learning and environmental justice
