Wycliffe Hall invites you to enjoy an evening of poetry, open to all. Refreshments available.
Terms Poetry brings together powerful poets and attentive audiences. In the course of our evening, several Oxford poets will present new work, with interludes for music, wine and conversation. Our contributors are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and poetic traditions, and their work has been rehearsed with and curated by Michael Glenfield, a poet, critic and former teacher of drama. This event is a must for any who love poetry, value fresh artistic voices or would like, simply, to experience the wonder of well-chosen words.
Wycliffe Hall has set itself the modest task of fostering a New Renaissance of Christian scholarship, leadership and culture (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-ViQVjhtqw). As both a Christian community and a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford, we want to see transformational scholarship, leadership and culture, born out of Christian community, offering the truth, beauty and goodness of the gospel to the world.
