Tom Buchanan, Professor of Modern British and European History and Fellow of Kellogg College, delivers his valedictory lecture exploring Britain's response to the rise of fascism between 1933 and 1945. Drawing on decades of research, Professor Buchanan will examine how British society, politics and culture responded to the emergence of both domestic fascist movements, including the British Union of Fascists, and the growing threat posed by fascist regimes across Europe.
