Worple Press

Worple Press seeks to publish work of outstanding quality. Whether it takes the form of poetry collections, books of translations, anthologies of new writing, cult novels, or idiosyncratic arts titles, we aim, above all, for excellence.

Founded in 1997, Worple has a great track record, publishing acclaimed nature poet Peter Kane Dufault, a book length interview with the generation’s most lauded psychogeographer Iain Sinclair, and chapbooks from young writers, such as Isabel Galleymore and Ben Smith, heading for great things with major publishers.

Worple enjoys collaborative work with other organisations (from Arts Ireland and the Arts Council to the Arvon Foundation, the Jerwood Trust, and The Legal Sustainability Alliance). Starting in 2025, we are delighted to be working in partnership with Pembroke College, Cambridge on Elemental Poetry Cambridge, a series of workshops and anthologies produced over five years.

Sarah Salway

Sarah Salway is a novelist, journalist and poet. She’s the author of three novels – Something Beginning With, Tell Me Everything and Getting the Picture – as well as two collections of short stories and two poetry collections. Her latest book, Learning Springsteen on my Language App, was the joint winner of the Geoff Stevens Memorial Prize. A collection of poems called The Hands of a Gardener and based on the life and legacy of the 18th-century landscape designer, Capability Brown, was published in June 2026.

Anthony Wilson

Anthony Wilson is a poet, writing tutor, blogger and Senior Lecturer at the Graduate School of Education, University of Exeter. Plymbridge is named after the hidden wooded valley on the northern edge of Plymouth close to where Anthony Wilson now lives. Rich with wildlife, it is also marked by its industrial past. The central concerns of Anthony Wilson’s previous collections – memory, the body, the impact of human activity on the natural world – are again to the fore in poems which ask how we can come to terms with the loss of these things.

Kieron Winn

Kieron Winn was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, where he received a doctorate for a thesis on Herbert Read and T. S. Eliot. His poems have appeared widely in magazines such as Agenda, Agni, The London Magazine, New Statesman, Oxford Poetry, Poetry Review, The Rialto, The Spectator and The Times Literary Supplement.

No Time explores how the malleability of early life evolves into shape and pattern. Poems are set in Greece, Oxford and Cornwall; the cast includes the Beatles, Rembrandt and the Voyager 1 probe, and Yeats’s ‘Sailing to Byzantium’ is rewritten by Housman, Eliot and Larkin.
