Crime thriller author C.L. Janet takes you behind the scenes of the Chrissy Ferguson Mysteries and Thessaly Grey Crime Thrillers , talking about inspiration, characters, research and the occasionally alarming search history that comes with writing crime fiction. Clare will also share her unconventional publishing journey — from doing absolutely everything herself as a self-published author and finding her first readers to selling thousands of books and eventually signing a publishing deal with Vinci Books. Then came the real challenge for a self-confessed control freak: letting someone else take charge! Expect books, bodies, publishing, mistakes, lessons learned the hard way and plenty of questions — including the ones you’re normally too polite to ask an author. Tickets cost £5 and are available at Alyth Library or online via Digitickets . This is a Friends of Alyth Library event, with proceeds from ticket sales helping to support Alyth Library. About C.L.
