Get Ready for Joyful Improvised Music (JIM) Perth!

Join us in for the first of a series of new exciting music events in Perth. Each concert is unique, never happened before and never again, all in the spirit of the joy and community that only an improvised approach to music can bring about.

JIM Perth is all about diving into the moment, making music on the fly, and sharing joyful tunes. Every concert will invite Scotland-based, yet world class artists, to collaborate towards a one off set of music entirely in the moment.

Whether you're a musician, music lover or just keen to contribute to your community through art, this event's for you. You will be made very welcome.

This first event will feature the magic of guitarist Graeme Stephen, Scotland's own Frisell-like genius, alongside world renowned cellist Pete Harvey and Perth's own Roberto Cassani on double bass. The trio invite local super talent Mairi Sutherland, a rising star of the contemporary singer-songwriter scene, to engage with an improvised approach to music for the night. No-one knows exactly what will happen, but it will be unique, joyful, life affirming and, hopefull, quite special.
