Enjoy a short reading and Q&A with author Penelope Curtis whose new book The Fall follows the early life of Isaac Newton. Penelope Curtis has lived locally for the last 15 years and, during walks between Woolsthorpe and Skillington, became interested in the journey the young Isaac Newton would have made between the two villages each day. This inspired her latest novel, The Fall, which follows the early life of Newton alongside two other notable local visitors to the area, intertwining three stories within one small Lincolnshire village. After a career in the arts, including roles at Tate Britain and the Gulbenkian, Penelope turned to writing fiction. Following After Nora and Villa Wintrebert, The Fall is her third novel. The book will be officially launched in London on 29 September, with the Woolsthorpe readings acting as a special preview event. It is published by CB Editions.
