Step into the Great Barn and be transported back to the 1950s! Surrounded by festive trees and holiday wonders, you'll see Father Christmas’ sleigh being pulled by a reindeer, and enjoy the sight of chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Don’t miss the tallest Christmas tree at the end of the barn — a true festive highlight! Explore the Abbey decorated in 1950s style, with paper chains, tinsel, and joyful music filling the air. Why not rock and roll on the top floor, or discover what toys and games children received during that era. Join the Historic Cooks on 12th and 13th December for a Christmas celebration inspired by the 1950s. Descend the Georgian Staircase and marvel at the handmade cascade display showcasing the decade’s festive charm. There are some pulsating lights as part of the Great Barn display. The Barn is open between 10am until 4pm. The Abbey is open 11am until 3.30pm. Last entry to the Abbey and site is 3pm.
