About This Event

A Dragonfly explorer trail will be available at Wembury from 30 July 2026. The trail is located in Mill Meadow, just behind the beach. It is a new trail developed by local community groups.

Get ready to discover an exciting new trail coming to Mill Meadow this spring.

Located just behind the beach at Wembury, local community groups and South Devon National Landscape's 'Life on the Edge' team have worked together to create eight dragonfly sculptures inspired by the natural world.

The free, self led trail is the perfect way to find out more about these eye-catching insects, understand the work our teams do to improve water quality, and learn how you too can help care for the rivers and seas.

The trail is open every day, but if you want an extra challenge, why not collect a family-friendly challenge sheet to help you? Set off on a dragonfly-spotting adventure, completing the activities along the way to earn your very own explorer sticker.

Dragonfly Explorer Challenge sheets are available from National Trust staff or at the Wembury Marine Centre during opening hours, Wednesdays-Mondays, 10am to 4pm.

Description supplied by the event organiser.
