Discover how legumes can improve nitrogen efficiency and reduce feed and fertiliser reliance.
Join us for a practical and interactive workshop exploring how legumes can help livestock and dairy farmers improve nitrogen use efficiency, increase home-grown protein production, and reduce reliance on purchased feed and fertiliser.
Drawing on the latest insights from the NUE-Leg project and real farm experiences, the session will focus on what legume-based systems could mean in practice for livestock and dairy businesses. Through discussion, knowledge sharing and practical examples, we will explore the key question:
Can legumes help us grow more of the protein livestock need, use that protein more efficiently and reduce reliance on bought-in feed and fertiliser?
The workshop is designed to be conversational and collaborative, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, exchange experiences and discuss practical applications for your own farm.
On the Day:
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on arrival.
Lunch will be served at 1:30pm.
Please provide any dietary requirements or allergies when registering.
We look forward to welcoming you for an informative and engaging session focused on practical solutions for improving farm efficiency, resilience and sustainability.
