Chris Barrington Brown – Will be focussing his talk on the marshalling camps in Hampshire and, where appropriate, share insights into how and why he developed his database, and the value it brings to our understanding of this aspect of D-Day preparation.
Marc Heighway – Will explore how the New Forest contributed to the preparations for D-Day, highlighting its importance as a strategic asset in the lead-up to the invasion.
Andrew Whitmarsh– Will be using key collection objects to illustrate some of the stories surrounding Hampshire’s role in the planning and preparation for D-Day, helping to bring these themes to life for our audience.
Ticket includes tea/coffee and lunch.
