Saturday 14th November 2026- Collage workshop with Kate Street

As part of our Portsmouth 100 festivities and ahead of our "Your Museum, Your Stories, Your City" exhibition (opening in October 20206), join us for a monthly Saturday morning filled with fascinating facts, stories and anecdotes about our city’s iconic or hidden landmarks. Then let your creativity flow through collage, sketching, drawing, storytelling or photography with a local artist—each venue offering its own unique art form. Explore, imagine and celebrate Portsmouth 100 in the most inspiring way!

On Saturday 14th November 2026, join local artist Kate Street for a collage and storytteling workshop in Wymering Manor. Kate Street is an artist based in Portsmouth, who reimagines vintage printed materials and found objects through collage and sculpture, creating new stories from overlooked remnants of the past.

Her practice offers a reorientation. In an age of weightless digital imagery, she foregrounds the handled, the damaged, and the repurposed objects that bear the imprint of history while opening space for new and unresolved meanings.

After an introduction to the past and present history of Wymering Manor (led by the Wymering Manor Trust volunteers), we will head to the Manor's music room where Kate will deliver a collage workshop related to objects found and donated to Wymering Manor.

After the workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore Wymering Manor in greater depth alongside the Trust's volunteers. Tea, coffee and cake will be available for purchase.

Open to anyone aged 16+. No experience required — just bring your curiosity and stories!
