About the Speaker

Alex is a best selling author of books for teachers, including 'Literacy Essentials for Every Teacher' and 'Closing the Writing Gap'. He has formerly worked as a teacher and leader for 15 years, before taking on a leadership role at the Education Endowment Foundation. Alex is now a full time consultant and author, who works with teachers all around the country - as well as internationally - to improve literacy, alongside teaching and learning.
