Breastfeeding support for parents within the Wokingham Borough area. One to one appointments at Ambleside centre, Ambleside Family Hub are available to book for 1pm and 1.45pm (please check which ticket you are booking so you get your desired timeslot).
Appointments are with BfN volunteer peer supporters. BfN volunteers have experience of breastfeeding and they are also trained to provide evidence-based information and support to other parents.
General info:
If you wish to bring a partner with you, the volunteers will need to check with any other attendees already in the room if they are comfortable for them to be in the room too. We recognise the importance and great benefit of having partners there too, but also just want to make sure everyone receiving support feels comfortable. (If necessary, it may be that your partner could wait outside the room for a few minutes whilst someone finishes feedings, or we do a bit of furniture rearranging, or it may be fine as is). Thank you for your understanding.
Booking details are monitored by staff and volunteers within BfN Wokingham.
Arrival
If arriving by car, you can either park on Arundel Road (1 minute walk from the Ambleside centre) or use the payable parking at the library/LIDL car park.
