About This Event

The Goring 10K will take place on 14 March 2027 at Storton Lodge in Oxfordshire. This race is known for its scenic countryside route, chip-timing, and closed roads, making it a popular event among runners. It serves as a significant fundraiser for the local primary school, with trophies awarded across various categories for both male and female participants.

Set in beautiful countryside and with chip-timing, closed roads and now legendary Pierreponts flapjack, the Goring 10k is widely regarded as one of the most enjoyable 10k races in the UK.

The Goring 10k is also the biggest fundraiser for our local primary school. If you would like to support the school, your donation would be very much appreciated. Click here to donate!

There is a trophy for each of the following categories for Male and Female:

Women's Open (15 to 39)

Women's Veterans (40 to 49)

Women's Super Veterans (50 to 59)

Women's Masters (60 to 69)

Women's Grand Masters (70+)

Men's Open (15 to 39)

Men's Veterans (40 to 49)

Men's Super Veterans (50 to 59)

Men's Masters (60 to 69)

Men's Grand Masters (70+)

Non-binary entrants. In accordance with the UKA Rules for Competition Appendix 4 for ranking purposes and for the awarding of prizes, only Male and Female categories are recognised. Please refer to the UKA's Non–binary Guidance for Road Race Organisers.

All our results are based on gun time (as recommended by UKA) rather than chip time. So if you are looking for an age category prize, please do head up to the start line to stand the best chance of gaining a prize.

09:00 - On-the-Day Registration

You will need to collect your race number and timing chip from the Bourdillon Field behind Goring Primary School on the day of the Race from 9.00 a.m.

When you go to collect your number please make sure you leave enough time to fill out the important medical and emergency contact details on the reverse.

There will be slots left for runners to enter on the day. If so, then On-the-Day Registration will be open at 9.00 a.m at the Registration tent on Bourdillion Field.

11:00 - Race Start

The race will start at Storton Lodge, Goring, at 11:00am. Note that the first 1.0 kms is a steady incline up into the countryside. To be fair to all, competitors will be required to line up at the start in anticipated finishing times. For more information, refer to The Start details on the The Race page.

12:15 - Prize Giving

The Prize Giving will be held on the Bourdillon Field, where the race finishes, as close to 12:15pm as possible. For competitors and their families wishing to take in the delights of the village after the race, there are several local pubs and restaurants in the village that offer good food and a convivial atmosphere. You may want to book lunch in advance as they are particularly popular on race day.

12:30 - Cut Off Time

Runners must complete the course in 90 minutes. We rely on 100s of generous volunteers to ensure a successful event and for many, the hard work starts after the race as the clearing up begins.
