Join North West Kent Countryside Partnership for a free nocturnal guided walk along the Thames and Medway Canal.
Join us for a unique evening experience exploring the Thames & Medway Canal after dark! Equipped with bat detectors and UV torches, we’ll listen for bats and uncover the hidden world of biofluorescence, a fascinating phenomenon where certain plants and creatures glow under UV light!
This free guided walk is perfect for anyone curious about nature’s secrets at night. Enjoy the calm of the canal, learn from experts, and see wildlife in a whole new light.
Bring warm clothing, sturdy footwear, and a sense of adventure!
The walk will be approximately 2 hours at a gentle pace, leaving from the end of Canal Road. The walk is suitable for all ages, attendees 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
