About This Event

The Bat walk at Knole with Mountfield Ecology event at Knole in Rochester will take place on 18th September 2026 at 18:45. The event will find Knole's resident bats with expert ecologist Sally-Ann. Admission is free.

Join a walk in the parkland to find Knole's resident bats with expert ecologist Sally-Ann from Mountfield Ecology.

Before we set off on the walk, there will be hot drinks and biscuits available, whilst our expert Sally-Ann gives an introduction into these fascinating and elusive creatures. You will then head out into the beautiful parkland and we will supply you with a bat detector in hopes of getting a glimpse of some resident bats.

The walk will last around 45 mins to 1 hour, and goes over some rough, uneven ground. The walk will take place in the evening dusk, so please bring a torch and wear appropriate footwear.

Booking essential. Not suitable for children under 12 years.
