Glass fusing workshops at a private country studio in beautiful rural Hampshire

Learn from Marlen Blumer, an experienced fused glass artist, who will show you how to use different glass materials to make two individual glass tiles / coasters plus a beautiful coloured dichroic glass pendant or festive decorations, and prepare them for kiln firing. (You don't have to follow a theme - you create your own designs.) They will be fired after your workshop and available for collection / delivery within two to three days. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available during a break. All materials, tools and safety goggles are provided. This is a lovely way to spend time with friends or family. Bookings are usually for a maximum group of four people but we accommodate larger groups (please contact us about larger groups via email to loxinaglass@gmail.com or phone Marlen Blumer on 07393 869930). Course overview

Face to face personal studio tutoring (with just four spaces at a time).

Includes all basic materials (tools and protective equipment).

Workshops are usually offered 10am-1pm or 2.30pm-5.30pm on specific dates. (Please see calendar).

Your kiln-fired pieces will be ready for collection within two to three days. Or we can post them to you at extra cost.

In your workshop each participant will make:

Two tiles / coasters 10cm x 10cm

One dichroic pendant approximately 3cm x 3cm

Or two Christmas / Easter / festive tree hanging decorations

(Please note that on request Marlen is happy to glue a bail clasp onto the back of your pendant with specialist glass glue after firing - but with no guarantee if the clasp later becomes unstuck.)

Rescheduling

We will give you the option to reschedule your booking to a mutually convenient date - but we can only do this once.

Cancellation

If you cancel your booking we will refund 50% of the ticket price if you give advance notice of one week. If you do not give advance notice of one week then we shall not issue a refund.

Dietary requirements

When you have received your booking confirmation please email us to tell us if you have any special dietary requirements or any other considerations, for example allergies.

Accessibility information

The studio is not wheelchair accessible and there is no hearing loop system.

There are WC facilities next to the studio.

Minimum age

We suggest a minimum age of 12 years
