Jamie McGarry and Charlotte Oliver

Join Director of Valley Press Jamie McGarry in conversation with poet Charlotte Oliver, as they each tell their story of navigating the complicated world of publishing. There will also be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

"Jamie McGarry is the founder and Director of Valley Press, an independent publishing house based in Scarborough, which has published more than 250 volumes of fiction, non-fiction and poetry since 2009."

Charlotte Oliver writes poetry for adults and children. A Word Up North New Northern Poet and one of The Poetry Society's 'Poets in Schools', she is also the East Riding Poet Laureate. Charlotte's first full collection is called Nothing Happens but Everything Happens and is published by Valley Press.
