Join the Tree Spirits’ midwinter celebration. A Christmas quest for ages 5 to 10, with clues, potions and magic to grow.

Step into the forest on the longest night. Escape room clues, potion making, and magic that needs more hands than the Tree Spirits have.

📍 Tree Spirits at Leah’s Yard, 20–22 Cambridge Street, Sheffield S1 4HP

Once a year, the Tree Spirits gather to renew their magic.

It used to take hundreds of them. But the doors have closed, the forest has grown smaller, and every winter fewer of them come. This year, for the first time, there is not enough magic to go round.

So they have done something they have never done before. They have asked for help.

Join the Tree Spirits at Leah’s Yard for Starfall Night, an interactive winter adventure made in Sheffield for young explorers.

Children are given a Tree Spirit name of their own, then sent to find the three hidden ingredients, solve the puzzles standing in the way, and brew their own colour changing potion. Then they take their place in the gathering, and the lights go out.

What happens next has not happened in a hundred years. We are not going to tell you what it is.

Before you book

Best for ages 5 to 10. Younger siblings are very welcome. Under 3s are FREE.

The adventure lasts around 40 minutes, with twelve explorers per session.

Every child must be accompanied by an adult, and every adult needs a ticket.

Adults are welcome to make their own potion too. Just choose the adult ticket that includes one.

The room goes dark for a moment near the end. It is wonder rather than scares, but worth knowing if your child is nervous of the dark.

Our Halloween sessions sold out, so December dates are likely to go quickly.

Starfall Night was created in Sheffield by Tree Spirits, an original story world about trees, imagination and a little everyday magic.
