The Lower Don Valley was the powerhouse of Sheffield's heavy steel industry and Attercliffe was where its workers lived. This 2½-hour history walk explores the heartland of Sheffield's East End, including a visit to the Zion Graveyard. It begins and ends near the Attercliffe tram stop. Stout footwear and outdoor clothing are recommended. Wheelchair users are very welcome to join. There is an accessible entrance to the Zion Graveyard. There will be a comfort stop at the Don Valley Hotel, formerly the Coach & Horses pub (built 1901).
