Whether you're an arm balancing asana novice, or an aficionado, this workshop has something for you- informative, collaborative, and playful

Whether you’re just beginning to explore arm balancing asanas within your yoga practice, or you’re an aficionado looking to expand your repertoire, this workshop has something for you!

In the first half of this workshop, we’ll begin by sharing our intentions for participating and discussing the benefits of arm balancing asanas, followed by practicing pranayama to cultivate energy for our flow. Together, we’ll move through a vinyasa sequence designed to prepare our bodies for arm balancing, followed by some drills curated to support us with this.

During the second half, we’ll break down asanas in detail, talking through how each arm balance can be entered, the biomechanics of the posture, how it can be modified, and potential transitions. This part of the workshop will include time to watch, assist each other, receive tailored adjustments, and ask all the questions! The vibe will be playful and explorative, with no pressure to try anything that doesn’t feel right, and lots of encouragement. We’ll close our practice with the opportunity to share how we experienced the session.
