Have you ever wondered about the stories behind Sheffield's oldest buildings? Or how the city grew into the place we know today?

Join photographer, Peter and local historian Carol as they explore Sheffield's rich history.

Using images from their books, they will take you on a journey through the city's past. You'll see historic buildings, old maps, archive photographs and Peter's modern-day photographs. Along the way, Carol will share the stories of the people and places that helped shape Sheffield, while Peter explains how he captures the photographs that showcase the city at its best.

You'll also get a look behind the scenes at how the books were created, from research and writing to photography and design. As a finale to the talk they will present a visual quiz based on some of the buildings covered in the series of books.

Whether you've lived in Sheffield all your life, simply enjoy local history or photography, this is a talk you won't want to miss.
