Adventure doesn't stop when the sun goes down!

Fancy seeing the Peak District in a different light? Join us at Alpkit Hathersage for an evening wander up to Stanage Edge and back.

We’ll meet at the shop at 6pm, lace up our boots, switch on our torches and head for the hills. Expect fresh air, dark skies and a different perspective on one of our favourite local spots.

The route covers 8km and takes around 3 hours, with a few steep uphill sections to get the legs working. The paths are non-technical, so you don’t need to be an expert mountaineer – just happy to get outside and put in a bit of effort.

What to bring

It’s winter, it’s dark, and we’ll be out on the hills – so come prepared.

Warm layers and suitable clothing for winter walking

A head torch or handheld torch (make sure it’s charged!)

Walking boots or suitable footwear

Water and a few snacks to keep you going

No need to overcomplicate things. Bring the right kit, a sense of adventure and a willingness to embrace the dark.

Whether you’re a regular on the hills or just fancy trying something a little different, come and join us. Good company, fresh air and a few miles under the stars. What’s not to like?
