Learn from our in-house team of retrofit specialists how to make your home cooler in summer, warmer in winter, more energy-efficient and save money on your bills!

Join us on Wednesday 14th October from 6:30pm-8:30pm to learn how you can make home improvements that will lower your energy bills and improve your thermal comfort.

You’ll learn what simple and effective improvements might be appropriate to your home to cut fuel costs.

Hosted by SY Ecofit and Upper Don Community Energy.

SY Ecofit is a Sheffield-based social enterprise working across South Yorkshire on decarbonisation projects including retrofitting – making energy efficiency improvements to homes. We’ve helped many people with advice, assessments, architect-led design and planning and improvements carried out by our in-house team.

Upper Don Community Energy is a local volunteer group who have been focused on renewable energy, taking initiatives into the community such as hydro schemes, biodigesters and PV panels. We have organised home and business visits, public events, thermal imaging surveys and more recently our Community Warming Project.

What can you expect from the evening?

We’ll give advice on what improvements you can do yourself to bring down costs. There are many changes you can make yourself with the right advice and skills.

We’ll also guide you on when and how a professional can help.

We’ll share local case studies to inspire you and we’ll help you plan and budget your improvements.

This event is inclusive and open to all. However, if you are in a position to do so, a suggested donation of £5 would be welcomed to help us cover the costs of the venue hire and refreshments. Places are limited so please register asap to secure your place.
