Women's Conference

We are delighted to announce our keynote speaker for the third year of the Abide Women’s Conference.

Sarah Swafford will be travelling from the United States to be with us and is the founder of Emotional Virtue Ministries. She speaks internationally on a variety of topics including faith, relationships, and interior confidence. Engaging audiences of all ages, Sarah shares her message at school assemblies, retreats, rallies, parishes, and conferences around the world, including FOCUS’ SEEK conference and Steubenville conferences in the United States and Canada. She is the co-author of Gift and Grit: How Heroic Virtue Can Change Your Life and Relationships and author of Emotional Virtue: A Guide to Drama-Free Relationships. She is co-host of Ascension’s What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith, filmed at over thirty holy sites in Rome, as well as EWTN’s At the Heart of Relationships. Sarah is also a contributor to Ascension’s Chosen. She resides in Atchison, Kansas with her wonderful husband, Dr. Andrew Swafford, and their children: Thomas, Fulton, Cate, Kolbe, John Paul, and Avila. We are also honoured to welcome Bishop Fintan Gavin of the Diocese of Cork and Ross, who will celebrate Holy Mass on Sunday, 22 November, the Feast of Christ the King.

Other speakers include, Fr. Barry Braum, the Nashville Dominican Sisters, Fr. Mark Wharton, Danielle Noonan, Fr. Oisin Martin, & Fr. David Nugent.

This conference offers women the opportunity to come together to celebrate their Catholic faith and encounter the transforming love of Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament through the celebration of Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, healing services, and talks centred upon the Word of God.

Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to avail of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and to speak with many religious sisters, priests and like-minded women of faith.

We encourage those attending to take advantage of the stunning coastal walks, enjoy coffee and conversation with fellow attendees, and make time to relax in this beautiful hotel & its leisure centre.
