An Age of Sigmar Warcry narrative event will run at Hobby House in Southampton starting on 17 October. Tickets for this workshop are priced at £15.00.
Lead your favourite Warcry warband in four rounds of fun narrative action as you seek to conquer a terrifying force in the wilds of Ghur...
In the wild hinterlands of Ghur, a primal and terrifying entity has begun to form. Portents tell of the coming of a beast, one that will surely embark on a furious rampage across the landscape unless it can be tamed or defeated before it has the chance to fully materialize. Your warband is one of many that has taken a mighty oath to track this beast to its lair and bring it to heel before it embarks on its inevitable path of destruction. For the victor, untold glory awaits. For everyone else, an ignominious chance to join the endless boneyards of the Realm of Beasts...

Rounds: Four
Start and End: 10am - 6pm
The tournament will be organised and run on Wartally, tournament software specifically designed for the purpose of coordinating Warcry events. Players must submit their lists to Wartally no later than 11:59PM on Thursday 15th October.

Lists and Warband Organization:
Players must pick their warbands in accordance with the rules laid out in page 60 of the Warcry Core Rulebook (2022).
For this tournament, Monsters are not permitted
A maximum of two heroes are permitted in your list
Warbands need to be divided into Dagger, Shield and Hammer groups and clearly marked - these cannot be changed between rounds.
Your leader must be clearly indicated - and please give them a name if they don't have one already!
Divine Blessings are permitted and must be clearly declared in players' list compositions - and may not be changed between games.
Battle Traits will be in use in this tournament. Players are requested to clearly state which battle trait their warband will be using in their list composition.
Missions:
All the missions for this event have been designed and playtested by Southampton Skirmish Wargaming Club and will be revelaed on the day.
They feature a few elements that will be common across all the scenarios.
Each mission has a primary scoring system worth 3 points and a secondary worth 2 points.
The maximum number of points that can be scored in a round is 5 - and a player's final score out of 20 will determine whether they have what it takes to tame "The Beast".
Our missions are designed to be accessible and easy to understand so that players of all abilities and ages won't fnd it hard getting in on the fun! That said, we didn't say it was going to be a simple matter to win...
Some missions will feature a clear attacker vs defender dynamic where one player will have a slight advantage over the other - conflict in the Mortal Realms is seldom fair! This is our way of adding extra jeopardy and excitment to the day and keeping players who are ahead on their toes.
Pairings will be manually decided in rounds 2 and 3, pitting players performing strongly against underdogs.
There will be elements that cross over from mission to mission to help tell an unfolding story. We've been careful to make sure that this doesn't mean more bookkeeping for our players!
Painting and Modelling:
Models must resemble the unit they are supposed to represent in a way that makes logical sense (A grot can't represent a gargant, no matter the base size!) and be on the correct base size for that model. Proxies are permitted, but please check in advance by emailing us if you choose to do so so that we can check beforehand. Please make sure as well that the base that you use to represent your model is on the same size to that of the official Warhammer model.
Warbands must be fully based and painted to a basic tabletop standard (three colours minimum and based).
Organization and Prizes:
The tournament will consist of four rounds, each lasting 1 hour 20 minutes with a 20-minute break between each game. Lunch will be 1 hour.
There will be prizes for first overall , three prizes for 'Favourite Warband' and one for 'Most Sporting'. Additional prizes may be handed out on the day.
All attendees are expected to behave in a gracious and sporting manner, and to uphold high standa
