Magical Cleansing ✨

Cleansing is a practice found across magical and spiritual traditions around the world, with people using a variety of methods to clear unwanted energies, prepare sacred spaces and create a sense of renewal.

In this workshop, we'll explore the history of magical cleansing and how different cultures and traditions have approached the practice in their own unique ways. We'll look at why cleansing has been used, the meanings behind different practices, and how these traditions have evolved over time.

We'll then explore a range of cleansing techniques that you can incorporate into your own practice, including:

Smoke cleansing using herbs, resins and incense

Sound cleansing using bells, chimes, clapping and other sounds

Water cleansing through baths, washes and ritual cleansing

Salt cleansing and the use of salt as a protective and purifying substance

Visualisation and energetic cleansing techniques

Air and breathwork

Physical cleansing and ritual preparation

Cleansing objects, tools and sacred spaces

We'll discuss how these different methods can be adapted to suit your own practice, while being mindful of the cultural origins and contexts of the traditions we're exploring.

Make Your Own Magical Incense

The workshop will finish with a hands-on crafting activity where you'll create your own bespoke incense blend to take home.

You'll be able to select from a range of herbs considering their traditional correspondences and the intention behind your blend. You'll then combine them to create an incense that is imbued with your personal intention and energetic frequency, ready to use as part of your own cleansing practice.

No previous experience is necessary - whether you're completely new to magical practice or already have an established practice, you're welcome to join us.
