A slow meander through the fields and woods at Wildern nature reserve to collect items and treasure from the natural world.

Join local artist John Ainsworth from When We Were Cows (https://whenwewerecows.tumblr.com/post/:id/:summary)at Wildern Nature Reserve for a chance to slow down and reconnect with your inner artist.

Starting at Wildern Community Hub at the Dart Arts Centre, you will take a slow meander through beautiful woodland and meadows of the reserve, exploring the area, collecting items and treasure from the natural world before stopping to to draw and photograph your finds and create a mini sketchbook.

By Car: Parking is available at Wildern Leisure Centre

Bring along your phone/camera and any art equipment such as pens/pencils if you prefer to use your own

Please wear suitable clothing that doesn’t restrict movement and good walking shoes. You might also want to bring along:

· a bottle of water

· an umbrella, waterproofs or sunhat/suncream (depending on the weather).

· anything else that’ll make you feel more comfortable.

Walk grade: Easy

Who should attend: Adults, families and children of all ages.

Sorry pets are not allowed to join a walk unless they are a guide or assistance dog.

Child friendly: Yes, Parents are responsible for their children at all times and should be accompanied by an adult.

Walk distance: Recommended 3 km

Facilities: There are toilets available at the Wildern Leisure Centre

Inclusive: The walk will be undertaken across paths on the edge of fields and uneven ground, so is not suited for wheelchairs and mobility aids
