In this talk, we dive deep into the myth and folklore of the mermaid, from the world of Homer to the present, and learn about our relations with water and the way we define women. Meet the Speaker Diane Purkiss is Professor of English Literature at Keble College, Oxford. She was formerly Professor of English at Exeter University.
