The LGBT+ Bereavement Group will meet on September 8th at The Dudson Centre in Stoke, providing a welcoming space for LGBT+ individuals to share, reflect, and find support through grief, loss, or anticipatory grief. The event is free to attend.
A welcoming LGBT+ bereavement group offering space to share, reflect and find support through grief, loss or anticipatory grief.
We will all experience grief and loss in our lives. It’s a fact of life. And grief is not something we ever ‘get over’. We just learn to carry it differently. This new group offers an opportunity and a safe space to spend some time sharing with one another the challenges, the struggles and also the extraordinary memories of love and connection that come naturally when those we love die. The loss does not have to be recent and your bereavement can be anyone that mattered to you; friend, brother, sister, partner, parent etc. So if you need support, a place to reflect and explore or maybe you are in the difficult ‘anticipatory grief’ stage concerning someone important to you who is terminally ill, then you will all be welcome at our new group.
