A relaxed, kid-friendly meet-up for solo parents who are building businesses, making things, or pursuing creative projects.

There are no presentations, no formal networking rounds, and no pressure to pitch yourself or your business.

Just come along, bring some snacks, let the kids play, have a chat, and see where it takes us.

Once upon a time...

There was a girl who had a lovely daughter.

And more often than not, it was just the two of them against the world.

The saying "it takes a village" felt more like an old fairytale than anything close to a possibility.

And when it came to building her dream business... well, the stakes were high.

Between the school runs and school holidays, the day job, life admin, housework, and everything in between, life had a funny way of getting between her and her goals every time she made a start.

And meeting other parents in a similar space?

Fuhgeddaboudit. 😤

So one day, she decided to help luck along by organising meet-ups for other solo parents working on their creative projects, too.

Because she believed that a better social life, more support, more fun, and more like-minded friends IS possible.

Besides, she knew for a FACT that she wasn't the only one who needed it. 😂

That's where you come in.

Whether you're building a business, you've got a side-hustle, a couple of lines written in a worn-out notebook, or just a thought that isn't going anywhere...

Your project can be more fun, feel lighter, and more manageable with friends who get it.

You don't need to have a finished project, a business, a plan, or even know exactly what you're doing.

The point is to get out of the house, meet people who understand the particular chaos of being a solo parent, have some fun, and start building your village.

So, why don't we meet up and see where it takes us?

What to expect: An outdoor event in a green space where kids can play, adults can connect, and everyone can have fun while building community.

Where: Olympic Park, Stratford. Exact location will be provided closer to the date.

Easy to reach from Leyton, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Wanstead, and across East London.

When: Saturday, 15 August from 13:00 onwards.

Cost: £5

What to bring: Snacks, drinks, a picnic blanket, and anything your kids might like to play with. We'll provide crafting materials.

Children are very much welcome. This meet-up is designed with them in mind.
