Sunderland Lit & Phil invites you to a round-table philosophy discussion night.

Together we will explore Britain’s literacy crisis with a closer look at where literacy most often begins: with children’s education.

On the evening of September 25th at Port Independent, we want you to share your thoughts on the topic as we discuss the key philosophical perspectives on childhood education, along with some potential root causes of Britain’s reading crisis and why some thinkers believe we shouldn’t be using the phrase ‘reading crisis’ at all.
