Get comfortable with your sewing machine in a relaxed, friendly beginner’s session. There is no project to complete — the focus is on understanding your machine and building the confidence youneed for future sewing projects. What You’ll Learn
•Identify the main parts of your sewing machine and understand what they do.
•Learn how to thread the machine correctly.
•Wind, insert and change the bobbin.
•Change the sewing machine needle safely.
•Understand which needles are suitable for different types of fabric.
•Learn about basic thread choices for different materials.
•Explore basic machine settings, stitch selection and tension.
•Practise simple straight stitches and develop confidence using the machine.
•Learn basic machine care and simple troubleshooting.
Please Bring Your Own Machine if you have your own sewing machine, please bring it along. This gives you the opportunity topractise on the machine you will be using at home and become more confident with its controls andsettings.
If you do not have a machine, one will be provided for you.
