Five friends in Cardiff escape their mundane everyday through an all-out weekend of drugs, music and memory-making parties.

Human Traffic follows an enigmatic group of friends in Cardiff, who longingly wait for the weekend to arrive so their lives can be really worth living. With one of the hottest parties of the year coming up, the group prepare for an all-out weekend party-sesh ahead of them.

This quintessential film from 1999 encapsulates the beauty of 90s rave culture, providing much-needed escapism from the humdrum of a 9-to-5 job, the personal dramas from both romantic relationships and family life, as well as the ongoing political strife during the tail end of the Thatcher years.

A synergetic soundtrack, featuring Matthew Herbert, Fatboy Slim, Brainbug and Orbital, underpins the film's status as a cultural milestone, while standout performances from Danny Dyer and John Simm make this an ultimate British cult classic.
