About This Event

A Songwriting Workshop for 11-17 year olds will take place on 7 November 2026 at Redruth Library & Information Service in Truro. Participants will create songs inspired by 'Henry VIII: The King’s Remix'. Attendance is free.

Henry VIII: The King’s Remix - create a song inspired by Six the Musical

Step into the spotlight and tell the Tudor story from a brand-new angle!

What would Henry VIII say if he got his own song? Was he misunderstood, dramatic, power-hungry, heartbroken or all of the above? Join us for a fun, creative workshop, where you’ll write lyrics, build a chorus, and create a new song from Henry’s perspective.

No musical experience needed, just bring your ideas, your voice, and your imagination.

· Explore character, history and pop-style storytelling

· Create lyrics with other young people

· Experiment with rhythm, rhyme and attitude

· Share your ideas in a relaxed, supportive space

Places are limited - book your spot now!
