A 2.5 hour succulent vintage teacup garden workshop will be held at the Cornish Craft Barn in Truro on 5th September 2026. The workshop is for adults only and costs £27.80.
2.5 Hour workshop for adults only priced at £40 – special discounted price for 2 sessions @ Includes all materials and 10% discount in CCB cafe Workshop Overview Price for both workshops includes all materials. The first part of this adult only session will include a short overview of the trailing semi-succulents grown by local business Hearts and Pearls, who specialises in the propagation of Strings of Hearts and Pearls. You will be given tips on how to care and propagate these rare succulents and where best to place it in your home. There will be an element of choice on this workshop. What’s included: Session 1 Vintage teacup and saucer (or glass container) Choice of common mini succulents and at least one trailing semi-succulent from Hearts and Pearls Peat free soil, Perlite, gravel and coloured stone toppers Drainage container Use of terrarium tools Session 2 Sunflower coloured yarns for the Macrame floral art Choice of Lobster Clasp, keyring or wooden ring The actual planting process is relatively quick, so the second half of this workshop will be a Macramé workshop in keeping with the floral theme making a sunflower keychain. This relaxed and friendly workshop is perfect for those interested in house plants and wanting to create a sustainable gift from a preloved vintage teacup and saucer. In the second half of the workshop under the guidance of Lucy, you’ll learn a few knots and techniques of Macramé and go home with a floral inspired Sunflower keychain. What’s included: Hints and Tips on how to care for your new trailing semi succulent Step-by-step tuition in a fun and welcoming environment All Macramé yarns and accessories provided Your own unique handmade crafts to take home No previous experience is necessary – absolute beginners are very welcome. Having experimented with various projects over the years, she now runs Macramé workshops in the local area. She designs tutorials for others to learn the basics of this historic art form, some of which are available to purchase in the Craft Barn gift shop.
