About the Walk
This 4-mile circular walk begins by heading towards Portscatho and following the coastal path.
The first half is the more challenging part of the walk, with several ups and downs along the coast path and a few stiles. If there has been wet weather, some sections may also be muddy.
We'll stop at Thirstea Café around the halfway point for a well-earned break and refreshments.
The return journey is much gentler, following a very quiet tarmac road back towards Gerrans.
Distance & Difficulty
Distance: Approximately 4 miles
Duration: Up to 2.5 hours, including our café stop
Terrain: Coastal paths, some inclines and declines, stiles and a gentle tarmac return
There are no particularly difficult climbs, but the first half requires a reasonable level of mobility due to the uneven coastal terrain, ups and downs and stiles.
Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Moderate (3/5)
Some uneven coastal terrain, inclines and stiles. A reasonable level of fitness and mobility is recommended.
Sturdy walking shoes or boots are recommended, particularly if the weather has been wet.
Refreshments & Facilities
☕ We'll stop at Thirstea Café around halfway through the walk.
🚻 There are toilets along the route, although not immediately at the starting point. Toilets are also available at the café.
Please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather.
