Drawn to Nature - Fryston Country Trails will occur on 15 September 2026 at 9:00 AM at Fryston Community Centre, Wakefield. The workshop, led by artist Tony Wade, offers participants an opportunity to creatively document the plants and landscapes of the country park. Attendance is free.
Join artist Tony Wade for a chance to creatively document the plants and landscapes that can be found on the country park.
In this session you will explore Fryston Country Trails and be introduced to a range of drawing materials and processes, with Tony as your guide. Within the session you will have the opportunity to create your own art inspired by the natural areas you explored.
No previous experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Tea and coffee will also be available at the end of the session.
This is an outdoor activity which includes a short walk, so please dress accordingly.
Artist Tony Wade has been creating artworks that document the changing landscapes of the Wakefield District for nearly 40 years, and he's exhibited at The Hepworth Wakefield, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park and in galleries across the UK.
