Assessment is through continuous observation by your instructor throughout the 3 days, plus a short multiple-choice questionnaire. There are no written exams. Your instructor will support you throughout and ensure you feel confident in your abilities.

The course runs over 3 consecutive days, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, with regular breaks and a break for lunch. This is the minimum duration required by the HSE for the full First Aid at Work qualification.
What is the difference between FAW and EFAW?
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a 1-day course covering essential life-saving skills suitable for lower-risk workplaces.
