About This Event

Literacy for All: Practical Strategies for Every Classroom is scheduled for 23 February 2027 at Widgit Software in Warwick. This hands-on CPD day will focus on making literacy accessible to all learners.

Join Everway, Lexonic, Pobble and Widgit for an inspiring, hands-on CPD day exploring how to make literacy accessible to every learner.

How do we teach literacy for all without adding to teachers' workloads?

Every classroom brings different challenges. From confident readers and pupils struggling with decoding, to reluctant writers and those with SEND or English as an Additional Language (EAL), teachers are expected to meet a growing range of needs, often with limited time and resources.

But what if supporting every learner didn't mean creating something different for every pupil?

Join Everway, Lexonic, Pobble and Widgit for an inspiring, hands-on CPD day exploring how to make literacy accessible to every learner, without increasing teacher workload.

Discover how reading, writing, symbols and accessibility work together to remove barriers and strengthen classroom practice.

What will you take away?

Support every learner: Discover inclusive strategies that help pupils with different reading, writing, communication and learning needs.

Reduce teacher workload: Explore how universal approaches can support more pupils from the outset, without creating additional planning.

Build literacy confidence: Gain practical ideas to strengthen reading, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.

Connect classroom practice with whole-school strategy: Understand how universal provision and targeted support can work together.

Leave with an action plan: Identify realistic next steps to strengthen literacy provision in your own school.

Who should attend?

Designed for headteachers, senior leaders, English and literacy leads, reading leads, SENCOs and inclusion leads working across primary (KS2), secondary (KS3), special education and alternative provision.

Four organisations. One shared goal.

Bringing together expertise in:

Lexonic (https://lexonic.org/): Reading, vocabulary and word knowledge

Pobble (https://www.pobble.com/): Writing inspiration, creativity and pupil voice

Widgit (https://www.widgit.com/index.htm): Symbols, communication and understanding

Everway (https://www.everway.com/): Accessibility, inclusive technology and independent learning

Together, we'll explore how these approaches can create a connected literacy offer that is necessary for some, useful for all.
