Sensory Session at Whitnash Library

Sensory Sessions are a calm and inclusive time in the children’s area, designed to create a more soothing environment for families who may find typical library settings overwhelming. During these sessions, an interactive floor projecter and sensory toys are available. These relaxed, unstructured sessions offer a chance to enjoy the library space in a way that supports sensory needs — but everyone is welcome to join in.

These sessions are great for:

Exploring the library in a calm and supportive setting

Enjoying sensory play and gentle stimulation

Spending quiet time with your child

Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm

Date: Every Tuesday

(Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
