Come and give woodland volunteering a try!

Our monthly volunteer mornings are a great way to have a go at woodland management, learn some new skills and give back to your local community. No previous experience is needed - just come along, get stuck in and enjoy a morning in the woods!

Everyone is welcome (including supervised children) and tasks can be adapted to suit all abilities. Tasks vary depending on the season and can include litter picking, cutting back foliage, digging to removing and cutting up branches.

We run volunteer sessions once a month over the winter (except December) as there are more woodland management tasks, and it doesn’t disturb wildlife to carry out work. In the summer there are occasional sessions when something needs to be done.

Come along for a taster - you don’t have to commit to anything! Whether you’re new to volunteering or fancy trying something different, we’d love to see you.

Please wear suitable clothing such as long sleeved shirts/long trousers/layers and waterproofs. Sturdy shoes such as boots or wellies are also recommended.

If you have your own gloves or tools – please feel free to bring them although we will provide them.

Meet in the Outdoor Classroom – the covered area in the centre of the wood.
