The Waterford Youth Arts creative writing programme runs from September to November 2026 at the Hub Space within Waterford Central Library. Designed for young people aged seven to eleven, the sessions cover topics such as story creation and character development. Various performers will lead these workshops throughout the autumn term. Registration costs £49.00 per participant.

Passionate about writing and stories? Join Waterford Youth Arts in a weekly writing programme for 7 – 11 year olds and learn how to create characters, make short stories, compose poetry and create powerful prose with our skilled youth arts practitioners.
Creative Writing sessions run each Saturday for nine sessions from Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford. This is a great programme for young people passionate about literature, writing and the world of words. No experience is necessary to get involved, all are welcome.
Waterford Youth Arts has procedures in place to ensure the safety of all our young people and leaders. We're really looking forward to meeting new creatives and welcoming back our old friends to the group too !
