Join us for a face to face CPD learning event that is informative and engaging with Orthopaedic Consultant Mr Khaldoun Bitar. This event has limited spaces, so reserve your space soon to avoid disappointment.
Mr Bitar qualified in 2004 and completed all of his postgraduate trauma and orthopaedic training in the UK. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016, before undertaking two UK-based fellowships to further enhance his expertise in trauma and arthroplasty surgery.
Since 2018, Mr Bitar has held a substantive NHS consultant post in Wolverhampton, where he provides specialist care for a broad range of lower limb conditions. His clinical practice focuses on complex lower limb trauma, primary joint replacement, and revision arthroplasty when required.
In 2022, Mr Bitar and his team reached a significant milestone by becoming one of the first in the region to offer same-day hip replacement surgery, supporting patients who prefer to begin their recovery in the comfort of their own home.
Through advanced training under one of Wolverhampton’s leading orthopaedic surgeons, Mr Bitar has developed particular expertise in hip resurfacing arthroplasty - an option ideally suited to younger, active patients. This procedure is currently available in only a small number of centres across the UK.
A committed trainer and educator, Mr Bitar is recognised by the General Medical Council as a clinical trainer and holds an honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Birmingham Medical School.
This session is aimed at GPs, Healthcare Professionals and Non Medical Referrers. All attendees with receive an attendance certificate towards their CPD hours.
