The BMC Hill Walking Club Social Walk, Midlands will be held in Wolverhampton on 10 September 2026. The event is a peer-led walk hosted by West Bromwich Mountaineering Club. The event is free to attend.
West Bromwich Mountaineering Club evening social walk of the Clent Hills from Hagley
You are invited to join a peer-led walk, hosted by West Bromwich MC (https://wbmc.org/home ), with member Frank Bruce, guiding the route. This social walk, which is part of the club’s annual evening program of walks, will explore the Clent Hills. Sunset is due about 7.30pm, so this walk will aim to enjoy the west facing views as the sun goes down. Sunset may or may not be visible according to weather conditions. The different perspectives of the landscape as twilight begins will be shown, and the excitement of finding features on the land and in the woods in this preserved area at this time. We will see the Four Stones, a folly looking like a prehistoric monument, and trace paths along the contours to give the best views west and south. The oak woodlands are particularly fine as the greens darken and acorns form ready for the autumn.
We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable evening’s walk and for those who can stay on for a little while, drinks at the Lyttleton Arms afterwards!
