Make Your Mark is a heritage walk and creative workshop held at Mailbox Birmingham. The event explores the city through colour, texture and materials. Tickets cost between £5.00 and £11.55.
Explore Birmingham through colour, texture and the materials beneath our feet.
Join artist Kristina Hall and We Go Outside Too for a gentle creative walk through Birmingham, exploring the city through colour, texture and the materials beneath our feet.
Starting at the Mailbox, we'll make our way along Birmingham's canals, taking time to slow down and notice the details we might usually pass by. Along the way, we'll pause to observe, sketch, write and gather inspiration from the landscape around us.
The walk will finish with a hands-on creative workshop, where you'll use handmade natural pigments on raw canvas to create your own artwork inspired by the colours, textures and impressions gathered along the journey.
This isn't about being able to draw or knowing how to paint. It's an opportunity to spend time outdoors, explore your surroundings differently and experiment with natural materials through a relaxed creative process.
No previous art experience is needed and all materials will be provided. You'll leave with your finished artwork and a small creative kit to continue exploring afterwards.
