Want to improve your digital skills? From MS Office to learning how to use the internet safely then this course is for you.

Solihull College are delivering Digital Skills Training at the Solihull Council Civic Suite every Thursday (9:30am-12pm) for 8 weeks starting from Thursday 15th October 2026 until Thursday 17th December 2026.

This basic IT course provides a practical introduction for those who are new to using ICT/Computers or for those who would like to refresh, build their confidence. The course enables you to work on the aspects of computing that interest you in work and everyday life.

The course will cover:

• Displaying information using ICT - create a document for a specific purpose, menu, letter, poster; create a spreadsheet inserting text, numbers and formulae

• Using ICT to find information - use effective search techniques/methods to find information/documents;

• Communicating information using ICT - digitally communicate via email, teams, sending and receiving documents;

• Computer Safety - how to stay safe online

Criteria

Aged - 19+

Living in Solihull

Must have a smart phone
