New Year's Day is for recovering. The 2nd is for starting, and doing it with some intention.

Most of us write goals in January and have forgotten them by February. This walk is about doing it differently: two unhurried hours outdoors, a bit of escapism, guided by me, Paula Hemmings, helping you to leave 2026 behind and start 2027 with clarity and a plan, not just a list.

What to expect:

• A three-phase intention-setting walk that will leave you feeling refreshed, grounded and ready to take on 2027

• A calm, guided walk with moments to pause, breathe and reset

• A simple ritual to let go of what you're not taking with you

• A grounding moment to bring you fully into the present

• Time to set your intentions properly, not just think about them

How you'll walk away feeling:

Lighter - leaving the baggage of 2026 behind

Clear - a clear intention for 2027

Grounded - headspace for new ideas and plans to take shape

Ready - one real action to take in the first week of January

Connected - time outside with like-minded people

This walk is for you if:

• You want to start 2027 with intention, not just a list of resolutions

• You need some time out and a bit of escapism after the festive season

• You like being outdoors but want a laid-back, goal-orientated walk

• You want to meet like-minded people in a relaxed setting

Good to know:

• Route: mainly flat and paved, but some areas may be muddy. Approx 4 miles

• Pace: easy and with stops

• Bring a flask of a hot drink

• Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather

• Rain plan: bring a waterproof jacket

This walk is suitable for all levels, as the focus is on the intention setting rather than the walk.

Who's leading

I'm Paula, creator of The Real Route. I've led walking groups for over 5 years, and a New Year intention walk is something I've always loved to organise, with great success.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If I need to cancel or reschedule

If the weather is unsafe on the day (for example ice, storms or high winds), the walk will be rescheduled. I'll let everyone know by email and WhatsApp as early as I can, and your ticket will carry over to the new date.

If you can't make the new date, get in touch with me and I'll refund you in full.

If you can't make it

Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 7 days before the walk (by Saturday 26 December 2026).
