The Croome Memory Sharing Days will take place on 19 September 2026 outdoors at Croome in Worcester as part of a new series investigating the estate's history before National Trust care. The event invites attendees to share any memories they have of the location during this session led by various performers. Organisers aim to uncover previously unknown aspects of Croome through these public contributions. Participation is free for those wishing to join the discussion.
Do you have any memories of Croome before it came into the care of the National Trust? This is part of a new series of Memory Sharing Days aimed at uncovering things we don’t yet know about Croome. We are eager to hear from anyone with memories from the 1960s to 2000s. We’d especially like to hear from anyone with photos or memorabilia, so please bring along any memorable items you’d like to share with us.
If you remember the Boys School after the 60s, the Hare Krishna at Croome, or rambled through fields of crops prior to National Trust care, we want to hear from you!
Information from these events will help us to piece together a more comprehensive timeline from 1960 onwards, as well as reaching out to individuals and communities whose stories are not represented at Croome. Information gathered at these events will inform our future programme and enable us to share diverse and engaging stories of our recent past.
The Memory Sharing Day will be held in the Temple Greenhouse on Saturday, and in the Court on Sunday. Non-members with memories to share will receive a voucher for free entry on a subsequent visit to Croome.
